"Best" is really a personal choice that depends on your personality, interests, food preferences, and other criteria. I did move from the US to Europe about 9 years ago and travel whenever I get the chance. I do a lot of weekend trips and longer during vacation periods. For me there really is no best place. All the cities and countries are different and have their own character, culture, history, and things to see and do (and eat). I'm particularly interested in local festivals and there's a wide variety in the different places I've been. The list of places I've been is too long to include here. The few countries I haven't been to yet include Lithuania and Latvia. I'm looking forward to getting an opportunity to visiting there.
