I'm going to France this summer and was wondering if there are any places that any of you recommend to visit while I'm there.

The places I'm going to are:

Paris

Versailles-Chartres

Loire Chateaux

Nantes

Carnac-Quimper

Mont St. Michel

Normandy

i'm asking for book stores, clothing stores, restaurants, etc. where should i go?

  1. 1) Check out Maison du Chocolat at 89 avenue Raymond Poincare (near Trocadero) to purchase dessert.

    2) Puyricard – Chocolatier on Avenue Rupp in the 7th arrondissement.

    3) Angelina – restaurant near the Louvre, across from the Tuileries on Rue de Rivoli. Order the Africain, a pot of liquid pleasure, the way hot chocolate was meant to be.

    4) Cosi (54 rue de Seine, 6e, Paris, France. PHONE: 01-46-33-36-36): Miles from the cardboard panini served at many

crepe stands, this Italian sandwich shop in St-Germain piles fillings onto crusty bread. Carry your sandwich upstairs, where there is (oh, miracle) a no-smoking area.

  2. That sounds like a great trip and I hope you have a great time. (I'm sure you will by the way.) A word of advice as to traveling to Mont Saint-Michel: when you go, avoid using... how can I phrase this without violating the "Community Guidelines") a bus company whose name consists of the French Capital, followed by one of the 5 senses. You'd be much better off taking the train. If you go to your local library I'm sure you can find a number of good guidebooks.
