Traveling to Hawaii alone?

I was wondering if it is a good idea to travel to Hawaii alone. I kinda want to go alone so i can have a week in paradise to myself. Has anyone ever traveled to Hawaii alone?..and if so...Is it possible to have a lot of fun still?

If you stay in a good resort, and be careful, I have known people that have traveled alone, and have done well. Maui is a nice, safe island, and Kihei is a good area we have knowledge of. I don't know of anyone having any problems there. There is a lot to do there, you can check the website below for activities. You can take tours as a single person, and that's a safe, fun way of doing things, and meeting people. People in Maui are pretty friendly, too, so you can meet them pretty easily.
