Traveling to Rome tips.?

Hey! I'm traveling to Italy this month with 5 friends (ages 23-27). What are some must see places in Rome? Any recommendations on sights, good restaurants, nightlife, outdoor activities, etc. will be welcomed :)

Sindy mentinoed the jump on and off buses: they are a good idea and they cover all the main sites from the Colosseum to St Peters and the Vatican city. They are no longer 10 euros but 18 euros.

Head over to Trastevere (the old Jewish ghetto) as it is off the tourist track a little but easy to get to. There are heaps of bars, restaurants etc...at really good prices.

If you are in Rome on a Sunday you can go to the Porta Portese market which is the biggest flea market in Rome.

And yes - watch out for pick pockets as they are very clever here in Rome.

Been to Rome with my boyfriend 2 years ago..

Was soo soo nice! You are going at a right time because it won't be too hot or cold..

Most do.. Coliseum, and the ruines by it, the fontaine de trevi, (try to do it early in the morning otherwise it gets crowded), spanish steps (at night cause it's more romentic)

There is loads of restaurant by the trevi fountain. I only wish I could remembered the names... Just a quick tip about resto.. don't go for the primera pasta.. it's just a pasta starter..

If I was you I would get a tour bus I think their about 10 Euro (you take it in front of the Coliseum) and you go around the whole of Rome, this will give you a good idea of what their is to see in this wonderful city!

Rome is so easy to get around, the underground only has 2 line!

The night life is not fantastic i found it better in Pisa and Florence.. Avoid Naples!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watch your stuff.. got my mobile phone stolen in Rome..

Train travel in groups of 6, so you don't get someone you don't know in there. Deoderant is not used by many people there
