Traveling to the UK?

Hello! I am currently 15, and I am going to apply to get a passport soon because when I turn 16 I want to go to college in the UK. Right now I live in Hawaii (USA).

How do I go about doing this because I have no idea. Do I have to get specific shots to travel out of the country? Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Also, do you need an ID because I don't have one yet?

  1. See site below for all passport info.  You will need your parents signature for the passport.  You will also need a letter of permission signed  by both parents and notarized to travel outside the u.s. alone.  You will need to be accepted by a university in the u.k. and when you have proof of that acceptance, and proof of enough income to pay your way and support yourself, you must apply for a student visa through the nearest u.k. embassy or consulate.   You need to see the 2nd site to begin researching student visa requirements for the U.K. You will not need vaccinations to go to the u.k. you can also learn a lot more about attending university in the u.k. by entering "studying in the U.K." in the search bar...there are many articles.  Some of these are services that just want to charge you money for "help" you do not need.  Just read the free info and move on.

  2. You may need to get your father's signature as well so that you can leave the country.  I could not get a passport without my father's approval even though we had not seen or spoken to him in more than ten years.

  3. No vaccines are needed for the UK. You may need to apply for a student visa and arrange a college course before you get here. If you end the course your visa may be rescinded.
