  1. good season to go, it'll be winter there at 30C!

    if you're in the states try orbitz.com, if you're in the UK then you can try the usual, ebookers, lastminute etc.

    best advice is to get your vaccinations in place. try not to get drunk or you might get more that just a mugging (as with any country).

    getting a job in a bar shouldn't be hard to help pay for the daily living expenses as things are so cheap there.

    last piece of advice is make sure you tell a third party (family or friend) where you're going

    have fun

  2. Big Question, it's a long flight, so maybe a few extra pounds spent on comfort wouldn't come amiss, one of the best and cheapest flights I have had was with Ethiad Airline, it stops in Abu Dabi so you have a rest halfway, very comfortable, and the airline is only four years old.

    Bangkok obviously, Chaing Mai Chaing Rai the Golden Triangle, then down to Chumphon to get ferries to the islands Koh Samui Koh Tao, and Koh Pangna, if you're up for it! Don't miss Chumphon Beach, it's 7 klm fro the town, I stay there for a couple of weeks every time I visit Thailand, plenty of cheap accommodation, and very relaxing!

    E Mail me if you have any specific questions, I've been there 7 times!

  3. Phuket = dump

    Krabi = nothing there

    Bangkok = Khao San Road if you want you see samey tourist things

    Phi Phi = absolutely gorgeous, must visit - see the fire show

    Ko Phan Ngan = immense beach party - watch your belongings, drinks and yourself if surrounded by dodgy looking guys...

    Ko Samui = nice little island with a good beach, quieter than Phan Ngan, defintely worth a visit

    Koh Tao - really good for scuba and snorkeling
