Treo 650 Problem?

Question

I was outside and had my Treo 650 on a chair when the sprinklers turned on. I had no clue that the water could reach my phone and now when my phone wants to standby and go off, it comes right back on to the HotSync operation, even without touching anything. I have tried to reset, it didn't work. Can anyone help? Thanks.

take the battery out

dry with blow dryer

insert battery

Can't guarantee if it will work, sounds like moisture is shorting it
