Triceps and pushups?

u guys do triceps exercises? such as diamond pushups. whats the average number of reps most men can do? what do u think of a man who weights 170lbs/77kg and height 5'11/180cm and is able to do 65-70 diamond pushups in a row. full range of motion. what do u think? and does it help with punching too? thanks.

Pushups are a great training triceps.  I'd say 65-70 with your hands close together at that weight and height is good.  At 19 I was about 5'11" 190lbs and I could do about 120 regular wide grip pushups.  I did knuckle pushups, diamond pushups on the floor and on top of a basketball, dips, and one arm pushups, twice a week, but I can't remember how many sets or reps.  I'd guess I could do about 60, about half of what I could do on regular pushups.

    Each time you straighten your arm, you reinforce that explosive body memory that provide that snapping path and power whenever you throw your punches.
