My computer's been infected with virus and trojans. The thing is I cant get access to my computer or control panel since it's blocked me from being an administrator. And I also mistakenly reboot the computer and now my AVG and Start menu is gone too. Is there any way for me to fix it?

  1. A friend of mine who is a pc tech

    Told me about http://www.pchelpdoc.com

There is tons of free help there!

    Goodluck!

  2. try to post your question in the bleepingcomputer.com. there will be moderator that can help you.

  3. It seems that your computer is infected with spyware, they tend to disable C: drive access, control panel, wallpaper change, task manager and may change other settings to increase its own protection from being removed.

Try scanning your PC with an online virus scan, better if you do this from safe mode.  After your scan you will have a better idea as to what you are dealing with and can then search for removal procedures.

Backup any important data you may have, if you still can.  Good Luck.

  4. A reinstall is a 100% guaranteed way to fix it if your existing Windows anti-malware software isn't up to the job. You can also try rebooting into safe mode and trying there.

  5. Several anti malware companies (Symantec, Avast, McAfee) have specific virus, trojan removers that you have to boot in safe mode (with DOS prompt).

If you have your OS CD, then boot up with that - and perhaps then you can get access to the path.
