Trouble regaining tv picture

Question

While installing a new dvd/vhs recorder-player to my Hitachi 31cx6b, I mistakenly set the new remote on the Hitachi remote and bumped a few buttons. I instantly lost the picture and have nothing but snow on all channels.
Please advise how I regain the picture.
