Truck driver and methadone?

Question

was thinking about going to school for truck driving. I also take methadone legally. A few people told me you cant get a cdl license or drive a truck while on methadone then a few people told me they changed that law. Anybody know the facts? If its a state by state thing i live in MA

Each state's DOT dictates that a person on prescription of methadone is not qualified to obtain a CDL.  

CDL holders are subjected to stricter rules and regulations.  They were considering allowing methadone patients to be accepted, but that is not the case yet.  Personally I doubt it ever will.
