    Serial Ports are slower than a usb which has 4 pins... and serial ports can only use 1 byte of data at a time... Did you know that your VGA, DVI, or RGB (i don't know about HDMI)

    all use the same thing as usb except it can use special combination and patterns.

    I would only use serial if you need to transfer power from one device to another. (which includes modding the cable)

  6. A standard ser .....   FALSE. Serial ports tranfer one bit at a time over one wire. The other wires are for handshaking. Some are not even used.

    PC motherboards ... TRUE. Graphics cards for example can be added to an expension slot.
