Trumpet??????????????

Question

Ive been playing the trumpet for about a week(played the clarinet for a year) and no matter what button i press down on i get the same flat note everytime. And im not sure whether im not doing some right or what?

You might wanna have your trumpet looked at by someone. It could just be your airspeed but to be safe I would really get it looked at. If you've tried everything to fix it then I don't know what to tell you. Your keys could be loose or something so make sure you check and make sure everything looks ok and nothing is like sticking out. So, best of luck to you.

It seems as if there can be two solutions to your problem:

1) Your trumpet has something wrong with it inside (could be that you positioned your valves the wrong way)

2) You can't change notes because your clarinet playing is preventing you from properly using a trumpet embrochere.

I suggest you get your trumpet checked out, then if there is nothing wrong with it play on your mouthpiece only until you can produce different pitched sounds.

you probably want to make sure that the valves are in the right way

if i could i would tell you how they go in

most trumpets have numbers on the insides of the valves so they have to be in the right way

and they have to be twisted the right way but it looks different in all trumpets

i would advise going to  music store and have them show you how to do it

i have a very nice music store owner that will show me anything i need

ask them a bunch of questions and have them show you how to take care of it because trust me they know everything about every instrument
