Question:

Trying to find my little sister!?

Need some advice. My little sister has finally turned 18 and I have been waiting for this moment for years! I want to start looking for her but I have no idea where to start or how to go about doing it. I know her first, middle and last name (unclear of how its spelled). I know she was born in Long Beach Cali and her adopted parents are Canadian. They shortly moved to the Gran Cayman Islands after they adopted her. Its alittle more difficult with the fact that she could be out of the country. Any advise? Please help!

  1. HI!, that is so nice that you would like to find her :)

I have found that private investigators are very useful in situations like these. Some even have clearance from the government to see adoption records and birth certificates.

Find a PI near you and have a meeting with them, tell them your situation and see if they can help you!

  2. that's horrible that you don't know where your sister is!! Hire a private investigation team. They're good at this stuff. They may be espensive though, but worth it..

  3. I would look at myspace and facebook if you have not already. Try some of the reunion sites that have been posted. I also advice you to prepare for any situation that happens if you end up finding her sister. It may not end up being the reunion you have always dreamed about.

  4. face book type it into google sign up first though

  5. Try to google her name. So many people have ties with the internet now its easy to find people. try looking her up on all the socal websights like myspace, xanage, bebo, etc.  Also try www.peekyou.com its a pretty cool sight. Good luck i hope you find  her!

  6. i hope that you find her, google her name to look for her, it actually helped me find some of my friends, and try suching on myspace, flickr, everywhere you can think. even try tv shows like oprah or something. good luck to you dont give up on her. you'll find her one day.

  7. First - add your details to the registries here

    http://www.isrr.net/

    http://registry.adoption.com/

Check here for information on your state records here -

    http://adopteerights.net/

(click on the page marked 'Searchers' down the left hand side)

Check here for search help - and links to search angels -

    http://www.adoptioncrossroads.org/

All the very best with your search.

  8. Google her name with the where you think she lives. Call Long Beach Cali and see if you can get a copy of birth cert., you would need the adoptee parents names. Call all the high schools in the area and ask if she is a student there, you will have to be savy to get that info bcuz they can not give the information to just anyone. For example; a doctor could call, a job reference could call, a government agency could call and get the info a friend could not. Try myspace, facebook, etc. Use the people searches on the internet. Best of luck!!! I found my bio father on christmas, by asking for the help of a telephone operater, and she found him and connected us.

  9. aww omg >-< i really hope you will find her <33

the best way is to post it around, post it on the internet, write stories about her to see if anyone has her information

you can also contact the media

    good luck~!!

  10. go to the place where she was born ask for a list of everybodys name that has her name then go to adoption agencys to help you

  11. hi.im in the same situation ive been separated from my sister for 11 years now but the only thing she is not 18 yet so i have to wait.but i found my little brothers by going on the internet and resorching their names lastnames, talking to people who knew them, searched their old school, just ask questions...try to maybe find out something bout her parents, usually if you call the 411 number and give them the city or state and name ,lastname it could be a possibility that they could locate her.sometimes researching on the internet could be helpful most of the time you have to pay a little but they usually will give you the info .(people look up,or how to find someone etc.)i bet they will be very helpful thats what im going to do in a bout 3 years when my little sister turn 18.
