Tumbling troubles...?

Ok so I just started tumbling about 2 months ago, and changed gyms one month ago. Overall, I like my new gym a whole lot better and get along really well with my instructor. I think he's really nice and everything but I'm having problems because for this past month I have been the ONLY one in the class and I am going 3 times a week up there. I'm trying to get my backhand spring, so 3 private lessons a week (even though they're not really private lessons) probably sounds good to most. But the thing is, you wouldn't believe how tiring that is for me!!

We don't do anything else in the class other than backhand springs! I used to want to do more backhand springs each class but now it's too much because I'm the only person and there's no time to take a breather.

Can you imagine doing like hundreds of backhand springs in a row for an hour straight??

I have another class today, and I'm so sore I can barely walk. I'm starting to get worried.

  1. TALK TO YOUR COACH! He's not trying to make you pass out, he's trying to help you! Tell him how you're feeling, and work it out with him, maybe go to less classes a week, or a class with more people. I'm sure he'll understand.

  2. I can't tell you too much, but first, talk to your parents about it. And second, always carry TONS of water, it sounds like you could be slightly dehydrated. Your coach is a professional, so he shouldn't be overworking you though.
