  1. My Husband as well. 5 days after the wedding his finger broke out in tiny bumps that itched as well. 3 years have gone by and I just had him try it back on 3 days ago. It started itching last night and the bumps showed up this AM........

  2. tungsten is 100% hypoallergenic.  it's probably got nickel in it.

  3. You aren't allergic to the tungsten in the ring, but in order to make tungsten (a usually brittle metal) stable enough for jewelry, they often use nickel as a binding agent. The general thought is that the tungsten binds to the nickel enough that it cannot cause allergic reactions, but if you have a very sensitive nickel allergy, it likely will cause contact dermatitis. Unfortunately, nickel allergies, once developed, are typically lifelong. If possible, you can contact your jeweler and find out what binding agent was used in the ring, and if indeed it was nickel, you will probably want to return it and purchase a ring that is 100% nickel free.
