Question:

Turning Upright Speakers Sideways?

I just purchased an Onkyo Home Theature system, and due to room in my bedroom I am mounting all the speakers on the walls. Is it okay to turn the corner speakers, which are meant to be upright, sideways? The front left speaker will be in the way of my door, so I would like to turn it sideways to clear my door. Will this effect the sound or cause any damage?

  1. Na I've heard quite a bit of sound systems with the speakers sideways. Same great sound. I like to use metal drywall anchors to mount my speakers if theirs no stud. They sell them at Home Depot and dont buy the plastic ones.

  2. Unless they are designed for wall mounting, the only thing that could affect the sound is the wall itself.

  3. no it will not affect the sound, just make sure you mount them with the proper hardware and into a stud
