  1. I would take the turtle out of the pool so the chlorine wont kill it

  2. Its not the smartest thing to do but its definately not going to kill it. I catch frogs in my pool and they have soft skin. They survive and are completely normal afterwoods even though they might of been in there for days so I wouldn't worry about a turtle going in there for ten minutes.

  3. you swim in a pool of chlorine and seem to still be alive and kicking

  4. Yes, that is a bad thing. Turtles have a negtive effects to some normal chemicals that himans use in every day life. Turtles most likely will get an eye infection or will stop eating pellets and start eating dry oak leaves, so that they can clean it out of their digestive tract, if in the next couple of day if he closes his eyes, go get some eyedrops from a pet store ( not petco/petsmart) or contact a vet and she/he will give you special drops.

  5. Why did you do it? Its home should be designed to meet all of its needs.

The chlorine will not hurt it in the short run, but it is not a good idea to do it often.

  6. A   turtle   could   swallow  the  chlorine  and  get  sick.

  7. that was stupid that can kill a turtle read abt turtle care

  8. It's probably not going to hurt him right away, since turtles breath air and not water, but it's not good for him long-term.  I wouldn't do it again.  If you want to give him more room to swim, you could try getting him a (hard plastic, not inflatable) kiddie pool.  It would be best to use water treatment before putting him in, though.

  9. It will kill the turtle!

why do you think turtles live in fresh and salt water and not peoples swimming pools.
