Yes, the turtles shells do grow, and that is why they shed their shell scutes.

And sometimes yes, they can feel it when you touch theyr shell. So dont be doing hard things on their shell because it will hurt them.

yes their shells grow for their whole lives.and when you touch their shells they can really feel it becuase they have nerves growing all threw their shells and it is a part of their body.if you look inside the shell around their heads you can see skin attached to the shell.i hope i helped.
