Tv picture problems?

i have recently bought a 42'' lcd tv.the picture in the store was exceptional but i cannot recreate the quality at home.i am running the ariel through a freeview box but to get the same quality do i need a hd freeview box?

What is it that you're trying to view? Is it a movie, satellite tv, a video game? What cables are you using?

Yes you will need an HD source in order to get the picture quality you saw in the store.  However the freeview site says that HD isn't available yet.
