I'm looking for a twin bed for my four year old daughter. She's too tall for her toddler bed. Anyone have any ideas? I would like to spend less than 200. What kind of bed does your child have and where did you get it?

  1. you wont get anything new for that price walmart has cheap beds but then you have to buy the mattress my kids have loft beds from value city and the cost 700 but they are really sturdy and they sit so high off the ground that they still have the whole floor to play in.

  2. Captain's beds are the best- they have the drawers on the bottom and can be used for toys, clothes, etc. They also have room under the bed for storage- we put things that we won't need for a long time because you have to lift the mattress and support board to get to that part. Oh, another advantage- you only need the frame and mattress- no box springs! :-) As far as price- we got one used for $50 from craigslist.com and a new one from Walmart for $120. These are the cheaper made versions, but you can get the better wood versions for higher prices at any furniture store.

  3. My 2 year old moved straight from her crib to a twin bed.  It was given to us by a friend whose daughter grew out of it.
