Twitchy eye ?

My left eye has been twitching on and off for about a week now. It happens at weird and unrelated times, when it happens it only lasts a few seconds. It was kinda cool and fun at first but now its just irritating. I do have poor vision but I wear my contacts/glasses . I thought at first it might be stress but i am not stressed, actually I am stressed less.

Any ideas to what it is/ why it happens ?

I think that vitamin B deficiency can also cause that kind of muscle twitching.  Try taking a multivitamin supplement.

My youngest son and I have that same problem on occasion.  I've always heard that when you watch TV, computer, video game, reading for a long time that your eyes get fatigued and the twitching is a result of the muscles contracting.  Rest your eyes for awhile.

theres this superstition that says that if you are a girl and you left eye twitches it means good luck. and if the rite one twitches when you are a girl it is badd luck.

when you are a boy its the opposite. if the rite twitches it = good luck and in the left does its bad luck

Eye strain also, if I look at a computer to long that can happen to me.

You are sitting down minding your own business when suddenly your eye starts to twitch. (happens to me too!)

Eye twitching is very common........ for most people eye twitching is not a serious condition and typically results from excessive fatigue or stress.

Anxiety can sometimes result in eye twitching. Our bodies are remarkable machines, capable of doing extraordinary and unusual things at times. Eye twitching may be nothing more than a sign you need to take it easy, or need a little R&R, as much as it may be a sign that something more serious is going on. Don't worry,,,,it will go away!  Also, when it happened to me I looked in the mirror,,,,,,it was VERY difficult to see, so no one else will notice it but you!  (in case you think others can see it happening!)
