Is it to soon to play again? It is driving me nuts. she has offered to "work" on my problem but I feel horrible knowing that I can't return the favor. I know 4-6 weeks is the reccomended time for intercourse after birth and I also know it could be painful for my wife. Is there anything I can do for her so I don't feel like i'm taking advantage of the situation?

  1. Take care of yourself.  Let that woman heal!  You try pushing something that big out of something that small and see how you feel!!  Even after 6 weeks, she still might be tender down there.  Be respectful to your wife and wait!

  2. Your spouse will need the entire 6wks to heal.  Intercourse before she is seen by her OBGYN and given the all clear isn't recommended.   Best case nothing happens, worse case her uterous ruptures and she has to have an emergency hysterectomy then you'll have to wait anther 6wks.

Be prepared if she's nursing as this will make it more difficult for her to produce her own lubricant.  Buy some lube the two of you can agree on and go slow the first couple of times.

  3. return the favor she gives u....no intercourse

  4. if she offers go for it, you are married and well she just had your baby. she knows that. and i am sure she knows its not like you can do it now, but in a few weeks ITS ON!!!!!!!!!!!   its just a part of having a baby. its normal

  5. How long has it been?

You can still do "other things," but no penetration until the doctor gives his/her okay.
