What GPA do you need to get into UCLA?

Also, what SAT score do you need?

I have about an average of weight GPA of 3.85~3.9. Will I be able to get in?

  1. Percent of Applicants Admitted: 25.8%

    Test Scores -- 25th / 75th Percentile

    SAT Critical Reading: 570 / 680

    SAT Math: 610 / 720

    SAT Writing: 580 / 690

    ACT Composite: 24 / 30

  2. This other page:

    http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Prospect/...

gives an excellent breakdown of admissions statistics.

For "weighted GPA" (5.0 scale, including bonus points for honors and AP classes), 92% of admits had 4.0 and above.

For "unweighted GPA" (4.0 scale, excluding bonus points), 85% had 3.7 and above, an additional 12 % were in 3.3 - 3.7 range.

For composite SAT reasoning test (3 parts),

virtually all admits are above 1500, and 82% or so were above 1800. The average for admits was 2000.

To have a good chance, at minimum you should have:

unweighted GPA 3.7 or weighted GPA of 4.0 and

    SAT of 1800 or above.

The higher above the minimum, the better your chances.

And of course, extra-curricular stuff helps too.

Roughly 23% of those who apply are admitted.
