UGH! Those commemorative 9-11 coins...?

Is anyone else offended by these coin companies making money off of such a tragedy???

If ALL the proceeds were going to family members of lost loved ones, or the families of the lost firemen, policemen and EMT's then I could understand it. But it just goes to the company that makes them!

I am offended that people out there are actually making money off of 9-11. Am I alone?

  1. If you are talking about the square Liberia $20 "coins" that have been advertised on TV recently, not only are they in bad taste - They are just about worthless as far as face value or silver content. Silver leaf, as stated in the ad, has next to no silver value, and Liberia $20 is about US 30 cents. I would not pay a dollar for one. They are just hideous.

  2. Not alone.

  3. I agree with you, it's totally inappropriate to make 9/11 commemorative coins.

  4. Nope you are not alone... it's sick.

  5. Yes , I too find such greed offensive and in bad taste . No , you are not alone . It is digusting to see 'people' exploit a national tragedy under the mask of respect .

    :0)

  6. No, you are not alone, but that just drives me wild!!! People these days will do almost anything for money. But those coins do look cool...

    Cheers!!!
