Question:

USPS Priority Mail --- Tracking?

I sent some packages priority mail on Monday from Long Beach, CA to Hammond, IN. One package still says it still in LB and two packages says Indianapolis. The rest says it's in Hammond. Should I be concerned? I dropped all the boxes to the post office the same time/day.

  1. Contact the USPS where you left the package/s.  The one that is not shipping may not have met the criteria for shipping due to weight or girth restrictions.  If you have a printer, print the tracking sheet that you are using to obtain the information...and just ask them nicely...if there has been a problem with the one that apparently isn't going anywhere.

That must be frustrating...to watch online...bless your heart...I hope it all works out and your packages arrive at their destinations as desired.  Of course, you know that one may 'stop' one's mail once it has been sent via the appropriate protocol and/or form completion process.

I hope it does come to that and that they can account for the slow and divided delivery of your packages.

  2. My son & I used to sell stuff on Ebay & often sent it USPS Priority w/tracking.  Since I was the "shipping dept.," I would track the packages.  I used to run into things like you are seeing all the time.  Everything got delivered -- tho' not necessarily in the time frame promised by the post office.  At this point I wouldn't be concerned about the package in L.B.  If it isn't on its way by tomorrow or Monday, inquire at the Post Office.

Overall, we found USPS to be easy to deal with and competitive in price for shipping.  You just had to avoid that surly lady's window at the Post Office!
