Ummm.....is this even possible!?!?!?

yesterday on yahoo answers this girl said that her 11 year old cousin was pregnant!!

here are my questions:

1. are 11 year olds even developed enough to "do it"??!?!

2. how do they even know what to do!?!??! they're 11 year olds!

3. WHAT Kind of parents do they have to let tHeir daughter in a bed with another 11 year old boy.. the parents prob werent home but still, dont they teach their kids anything!?

I knew around then, from friends, who heard from friends, etc.

It doesn't matter what the parents teach. It matters what the child learns. If she doesn't listen to her parents, or thought that she could get away with it without her parents knowing, then why not? She's obviously knowledgeable to know what to do, so she probably knows what to do to prevent pregnancy, and therefore prevent consequences.

1. If she's started her period, absolutely. Me and most of my friends were capable at that age.

2. Kids are learning younger and younger at s*x. Again, myself and many of my friends would have been perfectly aware of what to do.

3. Sometimes parents aren't capable of teaching their kids certain things. Sometimes it's the parents' fault, other times the kid is trying to rebel or just won't listen. But you're judging them off of your own standards. Maybe to those parents it's not a big deal. Either way, whether it's true or not, scenarios like the one you've described do happen and will continue to happen.

It's pretty Possible, I got my period at 10, and was pregnant at 12,

Most of them are developed, I know I was developed enough at 11-12

They don't have to know how to, Most don't do it with kids they're ages, It's always 2 or 3 years older...

it doesn't matter what 'kind' of parent, They could be the strictest parents ever, and the kids can still go out and have s*x, and get pregnant, It's just the matter of knowing what your daughter/son was doing every minute of the day, Which is pretty impossible to know, especially if your working, or the kid is off with a babysitter, or friends house, or at the school playground...

it might be true, she might not be lying. the world's youngest female to get pregnant was 5 years old and it didn't look fake however it might have been. i couldn't believe it at first until i searched a little more and saw a few more pics of her baby. but this 5 year old girl had been having her periods since she was about 3 and had developed breast then too.. so.. you might just want to look into this sight and give it your opinion. =] her name was Lina Medina, or something like that.

Technically speaking everyone is old enough to physically do it, it is more of an emotional issue of if they are ready.

I have personally heard of kids who frankly got pregnant because their parents thought it was to early to give the talk. Sadly some kids know just enough to do it, but not enough about how or the consequences. Also some kids are essentially molested, they don't know what is happening. One girl was 10, and didn't even know it was s*x until she was sick and found out she was pregnant.

And it is very possible the parents didn't know. It is also possible that they are just awful parents!

A person doesn't have to have a period, or have even gone through puberty in order to have s*x, or to get pregnant.
