Under bite.. Help please

Question

I have a underbite not a big one but everyone can notice.

I hate it yet my dentist hasn't done nothing about it??

Im 13 and nothing has been done!

It's so horrible i can't even smile.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

you could probly try braces but im not sure

Your dentist should have referred you to a Orthodontist or maybe Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon to fix that problem. Sometimes braces cannot completely correct a problem of an underbite if it is a main problem with the jaw extending out further than the top, thats why you may have to get an oral surgeon to perform surgery on your jaw, insurance CAN cover this. For best results, i suggest you get braces, and if that doesnt correct your underbite, then you may as well need an oral surgeon too. But thats unlikely, braces most likely will correct your underbite.
