  1. the torrents that have more seeds r the fastest ones to download with the torrent with leeches will only slow it down.

  2. Seeds are how many people have the torrent. Basically how available it is.

Leechers are people who download the torrent, but don't seed it to help others use it. Basically people who suck.

Go for the torrents that have the most seeds, though that doesn't mean a torrent with just one or two seeds won't work. They just download faster the more seeds it has.

  3. Leecher: When you start downloading a torrent you become a 'Leecher' still downloading a file, not being able to fully share it.

Seeder: The minute the download finishes and you continue 'seeding' or 'sharing' you become a 'seeder' a person sharing the full file.

A file with more seeders than leechers is preferable to be downloaded. More the people seed, the faster the file downloads. Lesser the seeders, slower the download.

Ratio: Generally a ratio of 1 is considered basic normal minimum required-ish. It means you've shared as much as you've downloaded. Below one is generally frowned upon.

    Suggested bittorrent client: http://www.utorrent.com/

For films - http://darksiderg.com/ (because that is where axxo uploads his movies first) and look for 'aXXo'. His torrents are considered to be the best and there are other good uploads too. Glance through the comments and you'll find out.

On a side note - downloading copy right materials is considered as breaking the law :)

  4. Seeds are users who have the file you are looking for and have that file open to be downloaded by other users. Leachers are users who are in the process of downloading the file, and do not have the whole file to download. A leach is called a leach because they usually stop the torrent after it is finsihed loading rather than leave the torrent and become a seed. Its better if your downloading to leave the program alone, so once you are done downloading you become a seed and help others get the file. You can download from a leacher, but since they don't have the whole file you may stop downloading, where you always download from a seed. It's good to have both. BitTorrent programs search for the fastest route of data, so sometimes its better to download some of a file from a leacher then from a seed if the seed is slower at giving you data than a leacher or a bunch of leachers together. Most of the time it is better to have more seeds though.

  7. A “seed” is someone who has downloaded 100% of the content and is only uploading to peers in the swarm.  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚€ÂœPeers” are those who have less than 100% of the content and are downloading from seeds and other peers and uploading to other peers.

Originally (and still in some places), those in the swarm who had less than 100% of the content were referred to as “leeches” and the combined seeds/leeches were referred to as peers.  However, because of the negative connotations of the term “leeches”, those in the swarm with less than 100% of the content are now referred to as peers and “leeches” are those who download the content, but do not upload back at least a full copy of the content.

As to which film option is best, that depends on what you want to do with the films.  Personally I prefer films that are encoded in DivX or XviD and are 702MB or less.  My DVD player plays DivX or XviD, without conversion, on CD-Rs.  This means I can burn it as data in a few minutes and watch it on my TV.

Most important is reading comments and ratings to make sure the movie is real and has no password.  This article discusses the msot popular search sites and their features for this:
