Uneven pool table?

my pool table is uneven. not the ground but the actual table. when i put the balls on the table most of it goes to the middle. is there any way to even it? thanks

  1. It depends what type of table it is and how it was installed. If it's a slate table (either 1 piece or 3 piece) it can definitely be leveled. It's a bit tricky to do it yourself, but you can try shimming up some of the support beams. If the table is plywood or MDF (multi-density fiberboard, or something like that), the unevenness may be in the board itself and I'm not sure there's a solution for that. Best to have a table installer look at it and see what they recommend.


  2. For the balls to be running to the middle,the bed must be bowed down in the middle.

    Its not a cure,but the only thing you can do is lift the bed and put a shim (usually a beer mat) under it in the centre.

    Although its not a perfect cure,its a big improvement in most cases.

    Buy a new table thats straight as soon as you can.One with a slate bed.Not mdf.

    If you're british,you can get a tournament table (only used for three days) from the tournaments at Reighton sands,cleethorpes or skegness for less than £600.
