Im sick of all these stupid driving licence rules, Im a student and I cannot afford at the momnt to pay 40E to apply then 100Euro for lessons and then get some pr!ck instuctor whos going to fail me because im a young driver!! (has happened to soooo many people i know and im sure you ppl know of at least 1)

And even if I do apply there is such a long waiting list im going to be scewd in June when this stupid new law comes in where i have 2 hav a full licence driver beside me,THATS NOT REASONABLE WHATSOEVER!!!! How is all those people going to drive to work, school, food shopping etc????

So whats going to happen is people ar goin to take down there L plates so they can drive, then at some Garda checkpoint or watevr they check ur licence ur going to get a big hefty fine and probably be brought to court for your troubles.

WHAT SERIOUSLY!! IS GOING THROUGHT THE MINISTER FOR TRANSPORTS HEAD??

If any Irish people out there feel as I do please drop a comment!

  1. I live in the United States and know virtually nothing about Ireland, but I'll agree with you, because I hear that they don't have legal abortion there.

    Boooo, unfair government!

  2. €100 for lessons? Who quoted you on that? That sounds like an awful lot to be paying, give another company a call.

As for the law all I can say is that our legislation is merely being brought up to standard where is was lacking before. In what other country could you fail your driving test and promptly hop in your car and drive away afterwards?

Don't worry about being discrimintated against at your test. It isn't allowed and you can complain if you feel you were unjustly treated.

On the whole you seem to be worrying about everything at once. Don't do that just take it one step at a time and you'll get there eventually. :)

  3. With your attitude, who gives a fig if you ever get a licence?  You have the temperamental makings of a major road rager.

  4. New law was announced a long time ago.

It only brings Eire into line with what every other EU country has done for years.

All that EU money that paid for Irelands roads means that the Irish Government have to comply.

When you get to vote on the EU on June 12th maybe you should bear this in mind and vote accordingly.

  5. The new law only brings Eire into line with what every other EU country been operating for years. You'll only be failed if you are incompetent. With an attitude like yours, perhaps that would be just as well . . .
