United Nation Benchmarks?

Are there Benchmarks, used by the United Nations to assess the progress of developing & developed countries ?

If there are such benchmarks, then where can I find information about them. Google and the UN web sites give very vague information.

You have to be more specific about which area of progress you want.

One example is with GDP.  Other examples are crime rates, infant mortality rates, life expectancy (all of which can be found on Wikipeida).

The US should pull out of the UN and stop funding them and kick them out of the US. They are impotent and anti-American.The UN Benchmarks are stealing money and corruption. Does the UN even have a list of accomplishments?
