Has anyone studied by distance learning with the University of London? Were the courses difficult? Has anyone studied for a BA in French?

  1. U of L's external programme has a very strong reputation. The courses are reputed to be difficult - comparable to their campus-based courses. But they are also said to have good tutors, who can help you with the material when you need the help.

    Studying via distance is often more difficult that studying in person, because it's all on you. You have to be extremely self motivated to get your work done, and quite well organized.

    If a campus-based degree isn't possible for you, U of L's external degrees are not a bad option. Not at all.


  2. I did Graduate Finance there.  It was brutal.  A fund manager from a large bank was sitting beside me and during the stats final he was huffing and puffing and left half way through the test.  He actually managed one of my mutual funds which is probably why the performance sucked on it.
