Question:

University of Rochester or RIT??

i am going to be a senior this year and i am really interested in both of those college...

i want to major in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering...

University of Rochester - i got a scholarship from them when i was a junior ($7500 per year...total of $30000) but they dont have computer engineering as a major...

Also my SAT wasnt that good (CR:450 math:640 writing:420) and my GPA is 3.7

  1. That's great that you got the scholarship from Rochester, however, here's some tough advice. While your GPA is good, your SAT scores will probably hurt your chances from getting in. Rochester is now a "new" Ivy League and is pretty competitive. Two of my friends are going to be freshman there this year and their SATs were in the 630s and up for all sections. I really recommend you taking the ACT. It's easier and high school senior friendly. I am not that sure about RIT, but I know that it's easier to get in. Good luck! Hope this helped!
