Unusual or nice hotels in Paris?

Question

I am hoping to visit Paris in May next year and was wondering if you can recommend any specific hotels that are a bit special and restaurants with a view please? It's for a special occasion,.

also try paris hotels at http://www.tripadvisor.com for consumer reviews & prices to narrow down for yr price range.  you can choose which area you want to stay in then your hotel.  i recommend the maraise which is one of the oldest historic areas, san germain for shopping, or the ille near notre dam... all areas have their charms &  nice hotels are pricy

i recommed bolfinger's for a wonderful high end dinner near the bastille monument.  great decor, food is worth the prices!!!  stop for outside patio drinks nearby before dinner then wander over in time for yr reservation.    there are sooooooooooo many places!!!!

I am going to assume that you don't have unlimited amounts of money and are looking for someplace other than the super luxury hotels like the George V or the Crillon.

I'm planning to travel to Paris this winter hopefully:)) if it's a special occasion & u want a unique view in paris that's definetly hilton paris...if u reach ur hand u can even touch eiffel tower:)) pricy though but i think it's worth it!!! & le meridien etoile is very close to chapms-elysee,a very good hotel..hope this helps..
