Question:

Unusual windows loading issue?

Ok, so first of all I have had my computer an HP since October 31st, 2006. I purchased a three year warranty. In that time, I have taken it back four times and about to take it back again. The problem that I am having is that it fails to load Windows... half of the time. I did a complete windows reinstall (destroyed the data) and now it still will not load. I thought it was because of Securom, which I know about but do not understand... would it have caused this? Why would it only load half of the time? It seems as though if I leave it sitting for a couple of days it will load right up, and when it "slows down" and needs to be rebooted, it will just go to a black screen. The monitor does not shut itself off. The computer "acts" like it's working, but then the keyboard lights go off and it does nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  1. This sounds to me like a hardware issue - either the hard drive, motherboard, or something else is hosed.

If it is still under warranty, I would request a replacement machine.

There is one other possibility - a virus. Have you always used an antivirus program when surfing the net? If not, your machine could be infected, and you may need to run some kind of virus removal software like Stinger.

    Good luck.

  2. Now that is not good.I would suggest you call HP and demand a replacement for your computer

Explain and tell them how you sent the unit in for repair on 4 different occasions, and now it is messing up again. And that you are not pleased and are quite upset  with your HP computer

HP is pretty good working with their customers

    Good Luck

  3. Sounds like there is something wrong with your ram. Seems like windows isn't properly loading all the files it needs to ram because of a bad chip on the ram.

  4. Your computer is probably manifiested with spywares. Did you browse the Internet before the symptoms became apparent? Spyware hogged your computer resource and causing it to slow. Go to computer repair and have someone to diagnose it / correct it.  Spyware is a nuisance to fix.
