Unwanted text messages from yahoo?

Question

Someone signed up for a daily weather update for Lawerence Kansas and used the WRONG cell number (mine). Cingular is no help and since I have no idea who signed up my number I can not log in to Yahoo and stop the text messages. Every month I pay several dollars for these unwanted text messages. Can any one tell me how to make them stop? Cingular sez I have to get Yahoo to stop them. Help!!! Thanks

I don't know if this will work for you but it is worth a shot.  I had a similar problem and I have Verizon for my phone company.  I kept getting text messages from msn and my hotmail account.  I sent a reply text that said stop to the number it was sent from and I never received another text.  Hope this helps you out.
