  1. Of the breeds you list, Maltese is my favorite. But since I don't know these individual dogs...

When you tell people or think "Okay, I've met three great dogs; which will I choose?", is there one dog who you continually picture in your mind first? When I tell my family about the litter of pups I'm fostering, I always see my fave pup in my head. If there's one you think about most or comes to your mind first, that's the one for you.

If there really isn't one who sticks out the most - my one reservation about the Maltese would be that it isn't registered. Why? I question the ethics of a breeder who doesn't document her litters or who would use non-registered dogs in a breeding program. If this was an unplanned litter by someone who isn't a "breeder," that's different.

There should be no difference in how a male or female pup interacts with a male teenager, provided they have been socialized correctly by the breeders.

  2. I was pretty depressed, when I decided to get Layla, and she helped me so much! so I think it is a great idea!  It makes you get out on those days that you don't want to; you feel such an accomplishment whenever your dog learns something that you've taught him/her; & it's always nice to have a new friend.  Now that you've narrowed down your choice, I would just go see all the dogs available, and see which one you seem to have a good feel with.  You want a dog that you can bond with, so just find a dog that you like and it likes you.

  3. Either one would do great. It all depends on what one you feel a bond to. I would pick the one that suits you and what is best for your needs and the dogs needs as well. All 3 are good dogs.  If you are depressed a dogs love and devotion may be the best thing for you. The s*x of the dog really shouldnt matter...male or female either one will be a great dog for you.

  4. that's a hard one

can you tell me a little more about your life style camping, hunting, vacations or travelling, other animals, indoor im  figuring but is this true? work situation ages of dogs.

from personal experience females seem to be better but i know many male dogs that are extremely wel behaved clean and not very aggressive (i have just had bad luck with males)

do you plan to breed your dog (if not the smaller the better for vet bills when getting must things done)

ive never heard of a lhasa apso but have good experiences with pomeranian but it was a mix

  5. a female or male will be fine with a male teenager

like i said before...if the dog fits your lifestyle ... the better it is for you...

WHY DO YOU KEEP SAYING "IT"?

it is a dog - he or she is a living breathing thing...please do not say "it"

  6. Bless, you sound the perfect doggie owner!! I think a pomeranian i think these dos are (a) CUTE!! & (b) lovely natured poochs. Its a hard choice, male or female,i have found females are more loyal,i don't know what to say about males... don't get me wrong , I am not being sexist, male dogs are lovely & we have males & females & we love them the same amount but i just feel females are more loving. They tend to bond better, but some people might find this different. I would say a female dogs are the better choice. But when you go to chose a puppy & i cute boy pup runs up to you & you know its the one, don't think to your self, 'that person did say females were better though...' & not get that cute male pup,go with your instincts, either are fine with a teenager!

Hope this has helped & you get the dream come true pup!

P.S Don't listen to mean answers i know you have reseached into it!. x*x

  7. pomeranian is a very nice and loving dog.

females are better because they don't lift their leg against everything.

  8. When choosing a pet you really must consider your personality and the personality of the breed of dog. Do you have the time and patience for a certain personality of breed. As far as s*x that is a personal preference. Do you plan on getting your pet fixed or do you want to breed it at some later point. If you have researched the breed of dog than you should have your answers to their frailness or illnesses that the breed is prone to.

  9. Well I have a male pom and he is healthy and loveable :D

And at puppy classes there is this adorable lhasa apso.

It's a hard decision, whatever one you think you will love more :D

  10. lhasa apsos are nice. my moms friend has some and they look cool. they also dont need much excersise. also her like 4 year old kid always picks them up and they dont mind.

  11. I would choose the lhasa apso.  Female dogs usually do better with male owners.  You also need to watch to see if the breeder has human contact with the dog.  You want the dog that has the most human contact with the breeder, so it will be easier for you to train.

  12. you should go on the computer and look at the breed info first.Good Luck!
