i need a new phone cuz mine broke, i have a 2 year contract with it but its only been like 8 months. how much would a new phone cost?

There are cheap phones and expensive phones, depending on the features they have. So, first take your phone to service for evaluation, if it is only 8 months old it is likely that it is still covered by warranty. If you still have to pay for it to be fixed then evaluate the cost and compare to whatever phones are available on the market for the same amount of money or less (contract free offer only of course, it is pointless to pay for two contracts).
