Upgrading vista to vista??

Is it possible to upgrade Genuine Windows Vista® SP1 Home Basic Edition To Windows Vista® Ultimate with the Vista® Ultimate CD?

From what I know, only if you have the Vista Ultimate upgrade disk (which is a different disk), look on tigerdirect.com or newegg.com for the disks.

Yes, but only if you have Windows Vista Ultimate Upgrade. You can't just install a whole new OS with a full installation disk. You have to have an upgrade disk. That's if you want to keep whats on your computer. If you don't want to keep whats on your computer you can delete the partitioned drive and create a partitioned drive then install Vista Ultimate not using the upgrade disk.

what did you buy it online? if so and its legit than of course, but form vista basic to ultimate, why save your money and get basic to premium only  ultimaite isnt that great?

just got ot premium , i have premium and ultimate and never would have paid for basic. its c**p sorry

I suggest you get something other than vista because that software sucks. I've tried it before and it really slows down your computer. But it should be possible.
