  1. I had high blood pressure with my pregnancy, although I didn't develop it until 33 weeks. My doctor put me on Nifedipine, and had me come in every week to check my blood pressure and my urine for protein. Anytime my blood pressure was up in the doctor's office I was sent to the hospital for observation. My doctor told me that if I started experiencing any dizziness, blurred vision,  visual disturbances, or swelling of the hands or face to call ASAP. As for the racing heart, my doctor told me that with increased blood volume that all women have during pregnancy the heart has to work a little harder to pump the extra blood. Hope this helps.

  2. yes  alot of people get high blood pressure during pregnancy if ur doctor is worried he will give u something 4 it and if he was that worried he would do it straight away u have nothing 2 worry about try not 2 worry as this wont help u or the baby

  3. the doctors will likely have you come in more often than in an uncomplicated pregnancy. high blood pressure can be serious in pregnancy, so they will monitor your urine and blood pressure to make sure that things are not getting worse or getting bad enough to deliver. try to cut down on salty foods and caffeinated beverages. drink plenty or water. if you start feeling sharp or persistent upper abdominal pain go to the doctor asap as it could be affecting your liver.
