  1. 21 ,.........grrrrrrrrrrr

Personally I would go to AC but I would hang at the beach it's really a nice "do"!

  2. Atlantic City has a nice boardwalk (perhaps the largest in NJ), pier mall, many small shops, and casinos.  It's much much smaller than Las Vegas.  AC has really nice beaches on the south side of the city near the Tropicana Casino area.  AC's nightlife isn't really all that entertaining unless you're seeing a concert that you paid big bucks for in a casino itself.  Most of AC's best bars are actually located off the boardwalk.  These places include Pic-a-lili Pub on Tennessee Ave. and Ducktown Tavern on Pacific St. near the back side of Cesars.  It's fairly safe in AC during the day or night, just stay on the busy streets with the most traffic or on the boardwalk.  Some of the side streets can be a little shady though.  There's small buses that can take you around town if you get tired of walking.  I think they charge around $2 per ride each way.  I hope you enjoy your time down there.

  3. It has a nice boardwalk. The beach is always nice to walk on too. They've cleaned up the town a lot in the past few years and that has certainly helped the appearance of things.

They have small bus-like things called "jitneys" that shuffle you up and down. Not sure of the cost, but I think they are unique to Atlantic City.

The casinos are nice, some are older. There is a lot of history in AC besides the casinos. The Miss America Pageant was held there, but I think they are tearing down the old walkway.

Different than Vegas because it is smaller scale. Not as grandiose if you will. Vegas has a lot of extravagance, and wastefullness if you ask me.  I had a friend move out there though, and I must admit it is fun to walk around the place and see some of the art or take in a show.

All depends what you want out of a city...history, gambling, a show, or the club/bar scene.

Just use common sense and ask questions :o)

I live in north Jersey, so it is way different than down there, but AC does have a lot to offer. It's a cheaper alternative than flying to Vegas-if you can drive to AC that is....and unless you don't gamble a lot.  Remember, those casinos are a money making venture...the odds are in their favor.

Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip.
