  2. hi, welcome to Egypt , i prefer luxor city because i live there ,i work in travel company ,there is many people come from sharm to luxor by plane to visit it for one day , they visit valley of the kings, hateshpsut temple and karnak temple with guide ( English , French,German,Russian,Spain,Italy,.....e... )

also you can make trip to Cairo for one day also but in Cairo you'll visit pyramids, sphinx and khan elkhalili bazaar's

if you need any help or information I'll be ready for that

    you are welcome

    with the best

    mamado

  3. can you imagine yourself dead without seeing the pyramids? the valley of kings and queens is really nice place too i had been there many times but pyramids still pyramids :)

maybe i'm saying this becuase i'm egyptian live in cairo in the pyramids street (about 15 minutes from there by car)

  4. If you can possibly do it - go to both.

I went on a nile cruise couple of years ago and did the Valley of the Kings and all the temples and sights down the nile but didn't take the option of the extra to visit Cairo and see the Pyramids, Sphinx and the Egytian museum.

I regretted it as soon as I got back and ended up going again the following year to see the bits I missed.

If you are stuck with just one option - then I'd probably go with the Pyramids as both those and the Sphinx are pretty awe inspiring and you also say it has always been your dream to visit them - just imagine how much you'd regret it if you didn't see them! If you've got time the Egyptian museum in Cairo is definately worth visiting too!

Enjoy it whatever you decide to do!

  5. Both are very importants and differents.

  6. and where is the problem in visiting all ?

it wouldn`t cost you much, Sharm El-Sheikh is charming & so are the Pyramids & Luxor ( where the valley of the kings is ).

but if you wanna choose just one place , taking into consideration that the Pyramids are in Giza , the Valley is in Luxor & Sharm El-Sheikh on the Red Sea , I suggest you all :D because it`s a chance & you gotta take it , so try to talk to you`re traveling agent to guarantee you a visit where you can see all of these places.

    :o)

  7. Having done both, I would pick the Valley of the Kings which is in Luxor.  There is so much to see there - Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, the workman's village, the Rameseum, Karnak, Luxor temple.  Luxor is also much more pleasant than Cairo.  The pyramids are a one day thing, nice to see if you have the time.  If you can only do one, Valley of the Kings would be my pick.

  8. I strongly recommend that you do both.

You can not visit Egypt and not see the pyramids and the Sphinx. It must be done, and of course the Egyptian museum in Cairo. Both can be done in one day.

The valley of the Kings and the Karnak temple in Luxor are a must see. You will not find something similar in any part of the world. The tombs are huge and you can enter into them and see the scenes of every day life of the ancient Egyptians like fishing, harvesting, wine making, sports, games, peasants, offerings, the sky with stars etc.

At the temple you see huge columns with carvings on them that are colored, you see huge statues and obelisks. No matter how I describe these monuments to you I will never be able to give you a complete picture of their beauty.

If you can not do both, you now have a good picture of them and it is up to you to decide. In my opinion visiting Luxor will enable you to see more.

  9. it's very difficult to choose .

the Pyramids are the 7th wonder  in the world .

you can enter the biggest and see the burial place of the King who built it .

close to them is the Sphinx that is unique all over the world .

also not far away is the Sakara Step Pyramid , which you can go into and see the tombs of the holy oxen.

these monuments are symbolic of Egypt .

the Valley of the Kings is on the west bank of Luxor .

when you are there , you go into the tombs of the kings .

you would also visit the Valley of the Queens .

you would be lucky to go to both the Pyramids and the Valley of the Kings .

in my opinion , you have to see the Pyramids for their symbolic value .
