I've found someone that's selling a used 6'0" Clark Foam Spectrum board shaped by Carl Schaper. He's selling it for $300 and I don't want to get ripped off. Is this a good deal or not?

  1. Spectrum makes nice boards. I'd think that the board is older since Clark closed three years ago. If it's in pristine shape , with no repairs, damage, or warp, offer him 250.00. He paid no more than 400.00 for it; I've been in Spectrum's shop many times. Their boards are pretty reasonable, and shaped by Brevard County locals. It would be a better deal for 250.00. No surfshop will give him 300 for it, and he won't get 300.00 selling it in the classifieds. Make him the offer, see if he accepts it.

  2. If the board is used then i wouldn't buy it for any thing more than $200.  Just counter offer the guy for $250 see if he will make the deal.  Another thing to concider is that the foam blanks that they are making now after the clark foam era are supposed to be stronger so thats another thing to think about.

    Good luck.

  3. John F dont know I know homie 4 life

  4. Some shapers hoarded some Clark Foam blanks before the shutdown, so the board could be newer. But I have to defer to Surfammo, who knows the locale and what the market will bear in FL far better than I.

  5. dont listen to any of mikes answers cause he doesnt know what hes talking about. i wouldnt buy it. maybe for 250
