Question:

Values of Marijuana?

I am writing a claim of value paper on the value of marijuana in the U.S. e.g. What makes mariuana valuable to health, society, etc.

I am having trouble finding clarification, however, on the negative health effects of pot. Some people say it causes lung cancer, but I can not find a credible source to verify whether or not it is actually proven to cause any cancers. If it caused cancer, then why do people with cancer smoke it to aleviate pain? I did find a credible source that states marijuana has been proven to cause ZERO deaths, directly (no cases of overdose).... while tobacco and alcohol are a couple of the top killers. Can anyone help me by verifying deaths/ cancer caused by marijuana? Also, what about negative health effects of eating weed products (brownies, etc) or drinking tea made with marijuana?

Only answers with credible sources can be used and/or chosen for best answer. Thanks so much for any help you can provide.

just search for 'lung cancer marijuana'

    in google.

and a bunch of stuff will come up.

  2. GOOD LUCK! i had to debate this topic..more or less and could not find one valid medical/scientific finding stating that marijuana was harmful to your health aside from what you use to smoke it which causes health risks..not the actual marijuana.

  3. First, organic marijuana has much less health consequences than tobacco or alchohol. All that marijuana can do is cause lung diseases and emphasema. As far as I know, pot can't give you lung cancer. (((and marajuana smells a h**l of a lot better than tobacco)))

Second, if a drug like this would be legalized, there would be less danger and more government regulation. When anything is on a black market, who knows if it is truly organic. Every person that handles the marijuana probably adds a little bit of something to it (like Italian seasoning or another green leaf) to add quantity. The more quantity that a dealer can sell, the more the dealer makes. Therefore, very few people have taken a drug in its true form.

Third, if pot would be legal, it would be much cheaper. The government could tax the h**l out of it and the consumer could still purchase it at around the same cost. If the government would put a good tax on pot, that in itself could solve our national debt problem... lol.

  5. if it grows in the ground, its good for you. :)

  6. It is a very interesting drug... Nobody has ever overdosed on it, and there is no proof of it causing any sort of cancer. Google it, there's really nothing physically bad about this drug. You can't get physically addicted either, although you can get mentally addicted, like you do with video games.

  7. You cant find any deaths or cause of illness. ummm. CAUSE THERE ARE NONE.  Dont make a paper on how its bad but how it benefit's the body.  It makes you hungry!  it makes your eyes water (Glaucoma), It relaxes you if right kind, Im not a freaking scientist but im sure there are other medical uses. and for non medical use it makes you friendly

  8. it is a herb that could be sold for more then it's weight in gold
