How comon is it really?

Hubby had his done 5 years ago.. I was wondering if anyone has had a failer happen to them.. or knows anyone that its happened to :) 10 pts for the best true story :) or answer. Men feel free to answer to :) I am asking because a few weeks ago I had 2 pregnancy tests come up posative but.. started my period a few days later.. hubby is going in for a sperm count but I was just wondering how many people out there had a vasectomy failer :)

  1. Vasectomy failure is pretty uncommon, but not unheard of. Same thing goes for getting your period during pregnancy. Most post vasectomy pregnancies occur within the first 3 months after the procedure due to residual sperm cells not yet discharged from the body. Regardless of the sperm count results, you should consult a physician. If the vasectomy was not performed correctly, he could have had a few sperm cells slip out, but still test negative on a sperm count test.
