What do you eat? I'm currently a vegetarian and want to switch.

Oh and which of these foods would be bad:

ramen noodles- I haven't had them since becoming a vegetarian but I was wondering..)

wheat bread

"white" bread

Basically what should I avoid?

  1. Ramen noodles are fried in processing. You should buy regular pasta and boil it.

"Wheat" bread and "white" bread are exactly the same thing. The only difference is that if they use the term "wheat" (which they are legally allowed to do, as all flour comes from wheat) most people are fooled into thinking that the product contains "whole wheat", which it does not.

So all of these are made from white flour. You should try to eat whole grains.

  2. buy regular pasta and those things that you mention are good to eat since your a Vegetarian

  3. Angela is wrong.  Look at the ingredients on bread products. If it says "whole wheat" as the FIRST ingredient, then it is all wheat. if it says "enriched wheat". it's not whole wheat don't buy it.  I always buy only whole wheat.  I also make my own bread so flour is something I know about.  Vegans never eat any meat or anything that has been made with a meat broth. you have to read labels to know what the product contains.  The same goes for any type of noodle.  there are noodle made with corn instead of wheat flours. Never eat white bread,  the only white bread is good for is to paste a wall with.  not good for you.  Try other breads that are made with oatmeal, and multiple grains just make sure you check the ingredients.  Eat a lot of fruits, yogurts, etc.  good luck.
