Vegetarian meals?

Question

For cooking in school I have to make a dish using Vegetarian meats.

Any idea's of what I could do?

Ya, take some tofu and cover it in flour, then dip it into hot sauce, spray it and the pan with a LOT of pam, and throw it into an oven at 375 degrees F.  Let them cook for about 30-40 minutes, until they start to get crunchy... or.... dip them in flour, then deep frey the tofu peices, then dip them in the hot sauce and cook them (less healthy but tastier).  And now you've got tofu hot wings!

Or, if your just wanting to buy some "meats," and use them in a dish, make calzones or a vegetarian "meat lovers" pizza or chicken  alfredo or something like that.  Most "meats" can be sauted or baked, don't microwave them.  You can really make anything that you would normally make with real meat, using veg meats.

How about you cook the vegetarians as a vegetarian meal?  No, seriously, there are tons of great meals that you can make with vegetables.....just never, EVER use vegetables as a meat substitute....BLEAH!  Vegetarians do not care for the environment as well as they say that they do, for they do not take into account that animals also love to eat fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes, and grains just like we do in our lives.  The reasons that we were MADE to become omnivores was not to eat meat just for the sake of eating meat.  It was to not only serve as a form of population control for the animals but it was also to serve as a means to allow for MORE vegetative forms of food for the humans as well as the animals in life.

Oh c**p, there I went again mouthing off against vegetarianism.  http://www.betty-crocker.com/ has some good ideas and maybe some other websites as well, too.

tofu, TVP (texture vegetable Protein), tofurky as well, it is like turkey
