  1. personally i wouldn't suggest you...may be you have the luck to find a good weather week, sunny but not warm (44 is the general temperauture in this month) but with the risk of flooding and rain would mean the impossibility to walk around the streets freely and enjoying fully your visit.

  2. Cold or not, you should go.  It is awesome.  Plus, any time that you can get there when fewer tourists are there--go for it!

  3. no way i love venice but the city in december you have to walk with plastic boots all the time dirty water is high in the city center flooding

  4. Pretty cold

  5. According to the Weather Channel, the average high for Venice in December is 44 and the average low is 32. Those are averages for the entire month, so being that you are planning your visit in the early part of the month, I would bet on the days being in the upper 40's or low 50's. I have a friend who went there last December, (right about the same time of month that you are planning your trip for) and felt that the weather was fine.  One thing you may have to watch for is aqua alta (high water) which is possible at that time of year.  They do set up walkways in Piazza San Marco if there is any flooding, and if you bring a good pair of waterproof boots you should be fine.  Airfares and hotel prices in early December should be lower than what you would pay during peak travel times. If you go during late spring or summer, you may avoid the high water, but you will have the heat as well as loads of tourists to deal with instead.  Good luck and have fun whenever you decide to go-Venice is a wonderful place!
