Verizon Wireless Upgrade?

Okay, i dont get the upgrade thing. My contract is almost up and we just became eligible for the upgrade. I have a Samsung Flipshot and i want the LG Dare. i dont understand if i'd have to pay the full $199 dollars since i have an upgrade? or how does it work? Plus i'm a BIG texter, is the LG Dare good for texting?

After your contract is up, you get $100 off your next phone. The LG Dare isn't the best phone for texting because its a touch screen and you can't type fast on touch screen phones.

well it has a full qwerty keyboard so it is good if you know how to use a virtual keyboard but it is cool and if you are due an upgrade at the end of your contract you get 100 dollars off any phone you want so you will have to pay 100 dollars for the lg dare
